GHD ’19 Student Representatives Rachel Norris and Amit Smotrich brought together experienced development practitioners; Angela Bruce-Raeburn from Global Health Advocacy Incubator, Jeremy Konyndyk from Center for Global Development, Francesa Molinaro, from Chemonics, and Susan Keller Pascocello from United States Agency for International Development, and SFS students for an important conversation on #MeToo, #AidToo, and the way forward. Panelists noted that this is not just a women’s issue but an issue for the entire development community that must be addressed. Where having policies is necessary, it is also insufficient; discussions like these that touch on actions and activities are critical to pave the way towards improvement and change. Themes of the event included transparency, accountability, encouraging reporting, and a culture change that starts at the top.
The Global Human Development Program would like to thank our panelists who acknowledge the importance of this topic, thank you for participating in the discussion.
