The Graduate Certificate in Social Innovation and Global Development (SIGD) is a 15-credit certificate that offers courses grouped along 3 pathways: Innovation & Design, Private Sector in Development, and Social Finance; coupled with an intensive Global Social Innovation Lab. The SIGD certificate prepares students to work at the intersection of social innovation and development. This is pivotal in an increasingly inter-connected world, where students must consider innovative approaches that combine public and private solutions within market-oriented systems, to solve the most complex development challenges. This first-of-its-kind certificate will be administered by The Global Human Development Program: a top-notch graduate training program at Georgetown University, that is building the next generation of development practitioners. Students in any graduate program at Georgetown University are eligible to apply for the SIDG certificate. Applications are open now in the Fall of 2020 and students will take courses in the Spring of 2021.
