Foluyinka (Yinka) Fakoya is a second-year GHD student who is passionate about access to quality education and the development and implementation of inclusive, evidence-based education policies. This semester, she is interning at the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution. The Center for Universal Education studies innovations that strive to improve education. Yinka recently co-authored a policy brief with the center that analyzes the effects playful learning has on leapfrogging in education. The Center describes leapfrogging as a rapid nonlinear progress necessary to change the current trajectory of the education sector.
