Christian Kamm
Class of 2023
Christian Kamm joins the GHD program after serving for three years with the Peace Corps in Cameroon. Based in the Adamawa region as an Agriculture Extension Volunteer, Christian worked with beekeepers and farmers to improve household food security by increasing honey yields and staple crop production. He also taught English and geography at the nearby secondary school. Christian extended for a third year as the Agriculture Training Site Farm Manager, preparing demonstration plots and curriculum for farmers and new volunteers. Additionally, he assisted the local host institution with donor outreach, grant writing, and French-English translation. Christian hails from Austin, Texas and studied international economics at the University of Notre Dame. Christian would like to gain skills in program evaluation and quantitative analysis at Georgetown so he can better support rural communities in addressing agricultural issues.
