Olivia Nguyen
Class of 2022
Olivia joins the Global Human Development (GHD) program as a Paul D. Coverdell Fellow with seven years of experience across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. She is pursuing a dual certification in Asian Studies and Gender, Peace and Security with a specialization in Quantitative Analysis. Her technical interests include fisheries, marine policy, and ocean conservation with a regional focus on Southeast Asia.
Olivia has completed internships in the Agriculture and Fisheries Division at the US International Trade Commission and the Agriculture and Food Global Practice at the World Bank during her time in GHD. Prior to Georgetown, she worked in education and environmental policy as a former AmeriCorps and Peace Corps Volunteer and was a recipient of the Fulbright and Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in International Business and minors in International Affairs and Social Entrepreneurship. Olivia is conversational in three languages and loves jamming out with fellow musicians, scuba diving, and exploring new places.
