Jordyn Iger
Class of 2022
Jordyn Iger joins GHD after 14 months as a Vetting and Grants Fellow at GlobalGiving, a crowdfunding platform for nonprofits worldwide. While there, she reviewed applications for nonprofits hoping to join the platform, published content to help nonprofits and corporate grantmaking partners, and helped to manage several corporate grantmaking partnerships. Prior to GlobalGiving, She served two years as a Health volunteer with the Peace Corps in Senegal, where she translated a health manual distributed to all new mothers from French into the local dialect of Pulaar and trained community health workers on how to improve their outreach using this resource. She led volunteers in her region in administering a scholarship program and associated activities for middle school girls.
Jordyn obtained her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and adjunct major in International Studies from Northwestern University in 2016, graduating cum laude. While at Northwestern, she designed charts and tables for the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Report for Rwanda, 2013, as well as for reports for PLAN Canada. She is proficient in French and Pulaar/Fula/Toucouleur, has experience with Wolof and Mandarin Chinese and plans to study Arabic through GHD.
