Maxwell Lieblich
Class of 2022
Max Lieblich comes to Georgetown after two years serving with the Peace Corps in Benin, working as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) volunteer. During his time there, he worked to improve his students’ comprehension of English and enhance the school environment as a whole. To that end, he led a project that brought clean water and handwashing stations to the school. Max also worked in conjunction with a local governmental organization to develop a scholarship program for high-achieving, in-need girls that worked to eliminate some of the barriers girls at his school faced.
Before working in the Peace Corps, Max studied International Politics and Economics and Middlebury College, while learning French and Spanish. He hopes the GHD program will help him continue to pursue his interest in education and the West Africa region.
