Taylor comes to GHD after having spent over eight years in the private sector. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Joseph’s University with a degree in Food Marketing. During her time at St. Joe’s, Taylor started learning about social justice issues linked to the food industry and gained exposure to the foundations of concepts like fair trade coffee. Through service and immersion trips in Ecuador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, she started to become familiar with the context in Latin America and her career finally took her to Panama. Prior to joining GHD, Taylor was based in Panama working as a Regional Responsible Sourcing Manager on Nestlé’s Global Responsible Sourcing team. In this role, she managed Nestlé’s Responsible Sourcing Audit program for all markets in Zone Americas, and led impact projects in Nestlé’s upstream supply chain focusing on human rights and environmental issues primarily in the sugarcane and palm oil sectors in Mexico, and also for other specialty agricultural ingredients in Brazil and other parts of Latin America. Taylor is interested in developing her expertise in human rights in agriculture as well as the strong role that the agriculture sector can play in tackling climate issues. Taylor is proficient in Spanish and looks forward to learning Portuguese as she continues to build her knowledge of development particularly in Latin America.
