Ygal Tasy
Class of 2023
My name is Ygal Tasy, I am from the Democratic Republic of Congo where I was born and studied until the end of my undergraduate studies in Economics at the Christian Bilingual University of Congo (UCBC) near Beni. Before coming to Georgetown, I already had 4 years of sustained experience in the development sector. My most recent work experience was with the Norwegian Refugee Council as a consultant. My role focused on delivering, co-designing and coordinating an assessment of learning outcomes of disaster and conflict-affected children enrolled in the accelerated education program run in Tanzania and DRC. Attending the Comparative International Education Society panel was the pinnacle of my recent work. I am excited to be part of this GHD cohort expecting a cutting-edge experience that will shift my development practice skills to another level.
