For almost two months I spent my summer in Freetown, Sierra Leone working with Rising Academy Network, one of the biggest players in West Africa’s education. They run schools, provide learning materials, and school quality improvement framework (training and management). My main mission was to help the organization codify and standardize its stakeholder engagement program. The reason behind it is because, as they are significantly growing over the years, they maintain to have many existing and upcoming public-private partnerships (PPPs). Hence, it was needed from their side to get the team way more ready in terms of external outreach. It was a tremendous experience, notably to implement what I have learned in GHD so far. I would say, during my internship, the most used tools were those I got from Program Design and Implementation class. I am definitely sure that the experience will shape me for my future career.
