Bradley Kratzer
Class of 2022
Bradley Kratzer joins Georgetown’s GHD community after serving for three years with the Peace Corps in Panama. Serving first for two years as an Environmental Conservation Volunteer within the Panama Canal Watershed, Bradley primarily worked as an environmental educator and as a capacity builder to empower local leaders to organize and address environmental issues in coordination with local institutions. He extended for a third year as a Regional Coordinator to support Volunteers with technical knowledge, project management strategies, and intercultural insight. As Coordinator, he also worked as a liaison between Volunteers, Peace Corps Staff, and regional Panamanian ministries to align initiatives and resources, build inter-institutional relationships, and identify and prepare new Volunteer sites.
Before joining the Peace Corps, Bradley graduated from American University with a BA in Environmental Studies and a minor in International Studies. While an undergraduate, Bradley interned with DC-based and environmentally-focused non-profits including the Jane Goodall Institute and City Kids Wilderness Project. After GHD, Bradley hopes to continue working at the intersection of environmental conservation and community development in Latin America to build the capacity of vulnerable populations to more efficiently conserve and benefit from their environment.
