I worked at the International Youth Foundation (IYF) with the YouthActionNet team. YouthActionNet is a global network of 24 locally-owned youth leadership institutes that assists aspiring and accomplished young social entrepreneurs in gaining the support they need to deliver on their social change goals. As a connector and convener, I supported the establishment of a global alumni council with the passage of a charter, officers elections, and training. As a creator, I developed, tested, and pursued the alumni council’s survey outreach to 1,500 global alumni to discern the network’s needs in response to COVID-19. I designed session application criteria for IYF’s upcoming Virtual Summit and led the initial development of the summit's MERL plan. I feel fortunate to have had such a supportive team and exposure to some of the best thinking on both youth empowerment and unlocking the potential of young people to meet today’s challenges.
