Connor Cobb
Class of 2023
Connor comes to GHD after three years working in Kenya for the Kenya Scholar Access Program (KenSAP). While with KenSAP, Connor helped high-achieving low-income students apply and gain acceptance to American universities. He had the opportunity to travel throughout Kenya, building the program’s reputation among Kenya’s marginalized communities, especially amongst refugees. He also taught a cohort of students, developing and implementing a curriculum designed to prepare students for the academic challenges they’d face in university.
Prior to working with KenSAP, Connor studied history at Wesleyan University. While at Wesleyan, Connor ran cross country and track and field, graduating with honors in 2018. At GHD Connor hopes to practice his Kiswahili, continue learning about the politics and history of East Africa, pursue his interest in education in emergencies, and continue to improve access to education for marginalized communities in East Africa.
