Devin Olmack
Class of 2020
Devin is interested in and passionate about impact evaluation, engaging the private sector for development, and gender equality projects specifically in fragile and conflict states. While in the GHD program, Devin has specialized in Quantitative Analysis and Evaluation with internships at the United States Institute for Peace, Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI), and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS). Devin spent her summer internship with GHD in Nairobi, Kenya, where she worked with gui2de on Randomized Control Trials and Impact Evaluations for Digital Financial Inclusion projects. Prior to joining the Global Human Development program, Devin served as a Peace Corps Volunteer and Leader in Ecuador for three years. In Ecuador, Devin was first a youth development specialist in a small coastal town where she led teenage pregnancy prevention programs in local high schools and then a volunteer leader for gender projects and initiatives where she worked directly with the local government promoting gender development and women’s empowerment programs and trained new volunteers on Peace Corps gender initiatives and programs. Devin is a Michigan native and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. She is fluent in Spanish and studying French.
