Erin Dennis
Class of 2021
A California native, Erin graduated cum laude from American University in 2017 with a B.A. in International Studies and a minor in Spanish. During her time at American, she focused on human rights and international development, and also became a certified Spanish-English translator. Erin interned with the International Rescue Committee and volunteered with the Latino Student Fund. Her senior year of university, Erin spent a semester in Santiago, Chile, where she interned with the Henry Dunant Foundation—Latin America and studied the Chilean education system. Upon graduating, Erin moved to Madrid, and has spent the past two years teaching English in a primary school. She speaks Spanish and hopes to learn French while at Georgetown. Erin plans to concentrate her studies in women’s empowerment and education in Latin America. After GHD, she hopes to return to Latin America to continue working in development.
