Gabriele is Brazilian and recipient of the Beeck Latin America Endowed Scholarship at GHD. She is specializing in the Financing, Design and Evaluation of Education Initiatives, with a focus on gender-lens and human centered design. She is also pursuing the Certificate in Social Innovation & Global Development. She is particularly interested in how innovative social finance can bring about better and equitable learning outcomes.
As a second-year student, she is working on her capstone with Sagana Impact and UNICEF to design an outcomes fund to improve adolescent girls’ digital literacy in sub-Saharan Africa. Last summer, she interned with the M&E team at Educate Girls in India, wherein she structured qualitative interviews and log frames to better support the 20K volunteers that work in the field. In parallel, she worked at Delivery Associates supporting a qualitative research on how 20 USAID educational activities strengthened education systems in 11 Asian countries.
Prior to GHD, she held seven years' experience leading collaborative and transformational projects in Brazil (and one in Egypt) for NGOs, public and private education organizations, and a private hospital. She worked at Teach for All Brazil, leading the delivery of two grants to develop digital instruction techniques in public school teachers from vulnerable communities. She also worked at Endeavor Brazil – a global NGO that stimulates high-impact entrepreneurship to drive economic development.
Gabriele holds a B.A. in Economic Sciences from the Federal University of Paraná, being the first in her family to earn a higher-education academic degree. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a PMO in a Consultancy Firm and was responsible for change management processes in the projects. Besides speaking Portuguese and English, Gabriele is also proficient in German, Spanish, and familiar with French. In her free time, Gabriele loves exploring and photographing new places and cultures – she has been in 39 countries and is still counting.
