Gina Golden
Class of 2026
Gina Golden joins the GHD program as an international development professional after two years working for Nickol Global Solutions (NGS), an implementing partner for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Gina is the lead project associate on NGS’s Democracy, Governance, and Human Rights (DRG) portfolio. Gina also supports business development initiatives and major contract proposals.
Previously, she was an intern for the African Affairs Bureau at the U.S. Department of State and for the education department at the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. Gina has experience working for the U.S. federal government, U.S. government contractors and nonprofit organizations. Gina’s area of expertise lies in Sub-Saharan Africa, and she is particularly interested in humanitarian assistance related to education, gender and social inclusion, and conflict resolution. Gina is looking forward to exploring these interests further and getting to learn from her fellow cohort members in the GHD program.
Originally from outside of Philadelphia, Gina graduated cum laude from Kenyon College in 2022 with a B.A. in international studies and a concentration in Public Policy. While at Kenyon, Gina’s primary area of study included systems of education, housing policy and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa. In her free time, Gina enjoys trying new restaurants and reading a good book.
