Kristen Schubert

Kristen Schubert has worked in development economics and evaluation for 17 years, specializing in evidence-based decision making and project design. She is known for her work on improving the performance and cost-effectiveness of development strategies and interventions across a variety of sectors, including agriculture, economic growth, education, humanitarian assistance, resilience, health, infrastructure, public financial management, and microenterprise development. Kristen has worked for and advised donors including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), U.S. State Department, U.S. Department of Agriculture, the European Commission, U.K. Department for International Development (now the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office), and the African Development Bank as well as numerous NGOs. Kristen is currently a partner at a specialized evaluation and research firm, Causal Design, where she is leading economic evaluations.
Kristen holds a master's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
