Maddy joins the GHD Program after two years in Costa Rica where she served as a Community Economic Development volunteer with the Peace Corps. There, she worked closely with women entrepreneurs on business development projects. During her time in Costa Rica, she developed Spanish fluency and project design and management skills. Prior to the Peace Corps, she was a Teach for America corps member in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is excited to continue her education through the Global Human Development Program and will be pursuing a certificate in Social Innovation and Global Development.
