Maggie Thompson
Class of 2023
Maggie is from Cincinnati, Ohio and completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago. She served with Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Tacna, Peru, and it was in this desert city that she discovered her passion for the environment and climate change mitigation. Upon returning to the U.S., Maggie worked with the Americas Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and supported Mercy Corps’ VenEsperanza cash transfer program in Colombia. During her time at Georgetown, Maggie has completed internships with USAID, TechnoServe Mozambique, and Blumont. She is pursuing a dual specialization in Quantitative Analysis and Environment and Climate, as well as studying Portuguese. After graduation, Maggie hopes to work with communities across the globe to become more sustainable and resilient to climate change.
