Himachal Pradesh Agriculture Project
I have been working with the World Bank on M&E for a horticulture project in Himachal Pradesh, India. The project is helping farmers grow different species of apples in order to generate income in Himachal Pradesh. The project also is working to enhance horticulture techniques and increase farming capabilities. In order to analyze the project, the team and I are developing a survey to collect data on gross margins for these farmers and see how effective the project has been in increasing returns. I have been meeting with the team and giving feedback on the information captured by the survey, specifically data we can use to compare the control and treatment groups. I have also compiled a database on materials purchased by the farmers and am researching the gross margins for other states to benchmark against Himachal Pradesh.
