Titta Buabut
Class of 2023
Titta joins GHD with 2 years of experience as a plan and policy analyst at the Department of Local Administration, Thailand. Titta has always been confident that local development is key to long-term development. She spent her first year working in Technical and Research for Local Development Subdivision. With a bachelor’s in International Relations, she has forged cooperation between her department and development-driven organizations namely UNDP, JICA and Peace Corps for an exchange of knowledge and personnel to advocate and educate local personnel on a wide range of issues including waste management system and localization of the UN SDGs. These efforts have resulted in a better understanding and proper management of the issues in local governments throughout Thailand. During her second year, Titta works in an Infrastructure Development Subdivision. She and her team have managed a government subsidy for local road development and contributed to7,000 local road projects in the coming 2022 fiscal year. Titta is from a small town in the northern part of Thailand. She speaks English, fluent Thai and has a moderate command of Mandarin. She plans to explore through courses and later decide on her specialization. While at Georgetown, she hopes to cultivate skills for her future career in development fields.
