Supporting Poverty Eradication and Lifelong Development in Thailand
This summer I interned with the World Bank Thailand Country Office, specifically on Supporting Poverty Eradication and Lifelong Development Project. Under this project, we worked closely with the Department of Community Development and other potential partners from both public and private sectors. My responsibilities were creating social and economic provincial profiles of target provinces, preparing environmental baseline for the project, screening for climate and disaster risks for the program and preparing literature review on gender and aquaculture in Thailand. Through my experiences, I was able to cultivate better understanding on topics such as climate change, gender roles, and community development.
This opportunity aligns with my future career path as a plan and policy analyst with the Ministry of Interior in Thailand. It allows me to understand the close corporation between the government and international development bank like the World Bank.
